Sunday Post #140

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer (image above belongs to @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer). It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
I am also linking The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance of Readerbuzz where bloggers discuss what they are reading and other bookish topics.

Life

I don't have much to report this week, I've been mostly stressing out about Tuesday, as the principal and someone else will come to watch another one of my lessons. These things always stress me out days in advance.

Blog and books

I'm still reading Crime and Punishment and The Radium Girls and enjoying both. I did figure out my next read though: The Tattooist of Auschwitz, as one of my students recommended it to me. A couple of weeks before our break we discussed books in class and in his opinion reading was boring. The fact that he read a book during the break and recommended it to me now, made me quite happy and excited to read it too.

Movies and TV Shows

This weekend I watched The Highwaymen, which I quite liked. I always seem to be intrigued about films, books or songs about Bonnie and Clyde. I haven't got a clue why, though. The song Bonnie and Clyde from Brigitte Bardot and Serge Gainsbourg has been stuck in my head all weekend.

I also watched Shadow and Bone, which I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would. I'd like to watch the sequel right away :)

What did you read or watch recently?

As always please leave some recommendations on what I should read or watch next!

If you enjoyed this review, please follow me on Bloglovin'TwitterInstagram, TVShowTime and Goodreads! I would really appreciate it!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

  3. Where did administrators get the idea that observing lessons is a good thing to do? Is there any evidence that observations improve teaching? Good luck!

I'm glad you are enjoying Crime and Punishment as well as Radium Girls. I have Crime and Punishment on my list to read someday. Radium Girls was such a compelling story.

I will try Shadow and Bone next. Glad to hear so many people are loving it.

  4. Since I'm commenting this on Wednesday, I hope yesterday went well! That would definitely stress me out to have someone watch over my work - so I hope all is good! We watched The Highwaymen a while ago at the recommendation of my father in law and I remember it being decent! I think I was bored a bit but I did enjoy it.
