Sunday Post #55

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer (image above belongs to @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer). It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Life

So I quit my job and even though I still have doubts, I'm happy with my decision. It feels like I can breathe again. I'm applying for other jobs at the moment. Still have do to some correcting and give everything back.

We went to the north of France at the beginning of the week and I had a lovely time there although it was a bit short. Amazing view, I can't get enough of.

(You could see England from here)

Yesterday evening we suddenly noticed we have a huge sewer problem, so now we can't really go to the bathroom anymore nor take showers and the like.

And it's storming outside, we just noticed that the roof of our garden shed is now in our neighbours garden. I have never seen it storm so badly, everything is flying away, even heavy tables. The fire department can't be reached and it seems like the storm will go on for a couple of hours. Feeling very uneasy about this.

Blog and books

I started reading again and I finally feel more like myself again. I finished Giant Days volume six, 99 Percent Mine and I'm currently reading A Curse So Dark and Lonely. It's really good so far!

Movies and TV Shows

I went to the cinema yesterday and watched Captain Marvel. I really enjoyed it. I also watched Isn't it Romantic and Jurassic World this week.

I also watched a couple of kdramas: Fated to Love You, Noble, My Love and Fight my Way. I've only seen two episodes of the last one but it's already one of my favourites.

What did you read or watch recently?

As always please leave some recommendations on what I should read or watch next!

If you enjoyed this review, please follow me on Bloglovin'TwitterInstagram, TVShowTime and Goodreads! I would really appreciate it!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

  1. I'm glad you feel a little happier now! I really wanna see Captain Marvel too but I always go see Marvel movies with my little brother so I have to wait until the easter vacation to take him, if they still play it then. :P I'm super curious about A Curse So Dark and Lonely because I've been reading her books since her debut book Storm. I can't wait to see how she tackles fantasy!

  2. Wow amazing pics! I love those, especially the second one and the third one. The third one looks like it could be a setting for a good book. :) I can imagine merpeople rising from the waters at night, and strange lights in the ruins. Ha ha. :)

Glad you quit your job, not because it's fun not having a job but sounds like a pretty miserable place to be, given all that happened. Good luck with finding something better!

Hope the storm isn't too bad! It's been windy here all weekend too, big branches are falling from the trees. Sigh. I can't wait to see Capt. Marvel!
