Stacking the Shelves: May Book Haul

This is my May book haul. It is a bit late because I have exams to study for. Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews. Each week bloggers post the books they purchased or received. These are the books I acquired last month, one comic, four e-book and two paperbacks:

1. Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

I had a discount on e-books and I decided to buy Howl's Moving Castle, I've heard amazing things about it and I can't wait to read it!

2. I Hate Fairyland, Vol. 1: Madly Ever After by Skottie Young

This comic was amazing! Review to come!

3. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

I did read this book last year but I borrowed it from a friend. That same friend convinced me to buy the second book in the trilogy and I'm so glad she did! I didn't see the point in buying the second book if I didn't own the first one, so I got both of them!

4. A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2) by Sarah J. Maas

This is now one of my favourite books ever! I highly recommend it!

5. Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld

A modern Pride and Prejudice retelling, that was all I needed to know in order to buy this book.

6. Love, Lies and Spies by Cindy Anstey

Even though this cover is awesome, I decided to get the cheaper option, the e-book. After reading it, I'm glad I didn't spend more money on this.

7. Touch of Power (Healer #1) by Maria V. Snyder

This e-book was less than three euros and I've heard nothing but good things about this author, I simply couldn't resist!

Which books did you recently get? Have you read any of these books? Let me know in a comment down below!

May Wrap Up

I read four books and one comic in May and most of them were awesome! Without further ado, here is what I read in May:

1. Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy, #1) by Danielle L. Jensen

I absolutely loved this book! It took me around 100 to 150 pages to really get into it, but after that, I couldn't stop reading! An amazing and original ya fantasy novel I highly recommend! 5 out of 5 stars!

2. I Hate Fairyland, Vol. 1: Madly Ever After by Skottie Young

The comic I read this month so much fun! I will review it later this month after my exams are over. 5 out of 5 stars! I highly recommend this comic if you are looking for something fun with great artwork!

3. Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld

This is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice and of course I needed to read it! I'm going to write a review on this one soon, I really liked some parts of the novels but I had problems with other parts. And as always, I needed more Darcy! 3 out of 5 stars! If you like Pride and Prejudice retellings, you should definitely give this one a try!

4. Love, Lies and Spies by Cindy Anstey

I enjoyed it but this is an entirely forgettable book. It wasn't bad, however, it wasn't remarkable in any way either. 3 out of 5 stars. I'll probably write a review of this one as well.

5. A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2) by Sarah J. Maas

This was the third book I started to read in May and it was fantastic, however, with some books I really love, I don't want them to end. I was so afraid something horrible was going to happen which is why I picked up two other books before finishing the last 80 pages of A Court of Mist and Fury. I love this book so much! This is definitely the best book I read this year! I can't wait to read the third book in the series! I can't praise this book enough! So good! The biggest 5 out of 5 stars ever!
