Can't-Wait Wednesday: A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3.1) by Sarah J. Maas

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and talk about the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. It's based on Waiting On Wednesday hosted at Breaking the Spine.

The Winter Solstice. In a week. I was still new enough to being High Lady that I had no idea what my formal role was to be. If we'd have a High Priestess do some odious ceremony, as lanthe had done the year before. A year. Gods, nearly a year since Rhys had called in his bargain, desperate to get me away from the poison of the Spring Court to save me from my despair. Had he been only a minute later, the Mother knew what would have happened. Where I'd now be. Snow swirled and eddied in the garden, catching in the brown fibers of the burlap covering the shrubs My mate who had worked so hard and so selflessly, all without hope that I would ever be with him We had both fought for that love, bled for it. Rhys had died for it.

I believe this is set after the third book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series, not entirely sure what this book will be about but I'm excited! Also, I love this cover!

May Wrap Up

May has been an incredibly busy month. A lot of deadlines and exam preparations plus a throat infection, left me with less time to read than I would have liked. In total, I finished five books and dnf'ed one. This was definitely the month of Maas for me!

1. A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3) by Sarah J. Maas

I gave this book 4 stars. You can find my review here.

2. Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas

I finally decided to read the Throne of Glass series! I was slightly disappointed, though and I gave this book 3 stars.

3. Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2) by Sarah J. Maas

I thought this was slightly better, but overall I expected more from the series. My friend convinced me to read on, saying it gets better with every book. So that's exactly what I did. 3 stars.

4. Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3) by Sarah J. Maas

I did enjoy this more than the other books, so far. I really liked the new characters Manon, Abraxos, the healer whose name I can't recall right now and Rowan! Really want to read more about them! 4 stars.

5. Geekerella by Ashley Poston

This was my favourite book of the month! 5 stars! Review here.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? Or are you planning to read them? Leave your thoughts down below!

May Wrap Up

I read four books and one comic in May and most of them were awesome! Without further ado, here is what I read in May:

1. Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy, #1) by Danielle L. Jensen

I absolutely loved this book! It took me around 100 to 150 pages to really get into it, but after that, I couldn't stop reading! An amazing and original ya fantasy novel I highly recommend! 5 out of 5 stars!

2. I Hate Fairyland, Vol. 1: Madly Ever After by Skottie Young

The comic I read this month so much fun! I will review it later this month after my exams are over. 5 out of 5 stars! I highly recommend this comic if you are looking for something fun with great artwork!

3. Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld

This is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice and of course I needed to read it! I'm going to write a review on this one soon, I really liked some parts of the novels but I had problems with other parts. And as always, I needed more Darcy! 3 out of 5 stars! If you like Pride and Prejudice retellings, you should definitely give this one a try!

4. Love, Lies and Spies by Cindy Anstey

I enjoyed it but this is an entirely forgettable book. It wasn't bad, however, it wasn't remarkable in any way either. 3 out of 5 stars. I'll probably write a review of this one as well.

5. A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2) by Sarah J. Maas

This was the third book I started to read in May and it was fantastic, however, with some books I really love, I don't want them to end. I was so afraid something horrible was going to happen which is why I picked up two other books before finishing the last 80 pages of A Court of Mist and Fury. I love this book so much! This is definitely the best book I read this year! I can't wait to read the third book in the series! I can't praise this book enough! So good! The biggest 5 out of 5 stars ever!
