Sunday Post #152

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer (image above belongs to @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer). It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I am also linking The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb Nance of Readerbuzz where bloggers discuss what they are reading and other bookish topics.

Life

Life got a bit in the way of blogging, with correcting exams, Christmas parties and a relaxing holiday at the seaside. Starting work again tomorrow and I will miss the Christmas vibes but am already looking forward to summer at the same time.

Blog and books

I finished Snow Country, The Diary of Anne Frank and Open Water at the end of 2022 and I enjoyed them all. My favourite books of 2022 are The Diary of Anne Frank, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Hamnet, The Island of Missing Trees, Conversations with Friends, Much Ado About Nothing and Of Mice and Men.

This year I finished Small Things Like These, which was a short but interesting read. I would like to read more books about Ireland so all recommendations are welcome!

I'm currently listening to the audiobook of The Sun Does Shine and I also started Jane Eyre, I'm finally reading it after all these years!

Movies and TV Shows

I watched a couple of films: Knives Out 1 & 2, Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman and The Maltese Falcon. The two musical films were my favourites.
I couldn't resist watching a couple of episodes from the following series: The Detectorists, The White Lotus and Conversations with Friends.

What did you watch or read recently?

As always please leave some recommendations on what I should read or watch next!

If you enjoyed this review, please follow me on Bloglovin'TwitterInstagram, TVShowTime and Goodreads! I would really appreciate it!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

  2. Thank you for posting your favorite reads of 2022. I always find my next good read from seeing the books other bloggers have read and enjoyed. I'm waiting for the arrival of Small Things Like These, which everyone seems to be reading right now.

I'd like to try White Lotus and Conversations with Friends. I hope to watch White Noise soon.
