As always, I'm very late to post my June book haul. Here it finally is!

1. Only Human (Themis Files #3) by Sylvain Neuvel

I got the following comics from the English comic book store in Ghent which sadly had to close its doors in June.

2. Heart in a Box by Kelly Thompson and Meredith McClaren

3. Sweet Tooth, Volume 2: In Captivity by Jeff Lemire

Already read this one and really enjoyed it! Definitely continuing the series!

4. Monstress, Vol. 2: The Blood by Marjorie M. Liu and Sana Takeda

5. Alex + Ada, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 by Jonathan Luna and Sarah Vaughn

6. Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger

7. The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

Probably reading this e-book next!

8. A Week to Be Wicked (Spindle Cove #2) by Tessa Dare

E-book.

9. Do You Want to Start a Scandal (Spindle Cove #5) by Tessa Dare

E- book.

10. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

I got myself a physical copy of this book which I have read several times in e-book format and I just needed to own a physical copy of my favourite comfort read!

11. Crazy Rich Asians (Crazy Rich Asians #1) by Kevin Kwan

Because I want to read the book before I watch the movie!

12. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

The next three books I got from a cheap book fair Boekenfestijn in Ghent.

13. Noughts & Crosses (Noughts and Crosses #1) by Malorie Blackman

14. All Our Wrong Todays by Elan Mastai

The first e-book I got from Netgalley and the others I purchased myself.

June Wrap Up

May was a terrible reading month but June was a lot better!

1. Sweet Tooth, Volume 1: Out of the Deep Woods by Jeff Lemire

I really enjoyed this although I wish it had been longer. I'm definitely continuing the series! 4 stars.

2. You (You, #1) by Caroline Kepnes

I've heard nothing but great things about this book which is why I was so disappointed when I did not like this as much as I hoped I would.

First of all, I need to mention that this is not a genre I often read and that I was in a reading slump. However, I often felt bored and disliked all the characters. At times the only likeable character was Joe, which was disturbing to be honest. I can't say I recommend this one. 2,5 - 3 stars.

3. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide, #1) by Douglas Adams

It took me some time to get into this book, the beginning is definitely slow but I liked the second part of the book a lot better. Again, I was in a reading slump but I somehow expected a lot more from this beloved story. 3 stars.

4. Leah on the Offbeat (Creekwood, #2) by Becky Albertalli

This is the book that got me out of the reading slump. I still like Simon's story best but this was a really fun read! 4 stars!

5. LIFEL1K3 (Lifelike, #1) by Jay Kristoff

As I consider Jay Kristoff as one of my favourite authors of the moment I felt let down by LIFEL1K3. I did not care for the main characters (my favourite character being Cricket) and I was bored through the first half of the book. The last hundred pages were a lot better and made me excited to pick up the sequel but all in all, I'm a little disappointed with this one. 3 stars.

6. Sheets by Brenna Thummler

I enjoyed this one! Check out my review here.

7. A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3.1) by Sarah J. Maas

Not much happened in this one, I'm excited for the next book, though! 3 stars.

8. Heartstone (Heartstone, #1) by Elle Katharine White

A Pride and Prejudice retelling with dragons? Of course I enjoyed it! 3 stars.

June and July Book Haul

Stacking the Shelves is co-hosted by Reading Reality and Tynga's Reviews. Each week bloggers post the books they purchased or received. I'm behind on a lot of book hauls, so I decided to share both my June and July book haul in this post. I hope I did not forget any books, but if so, I'll let you know in another post.

1. Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy #1) by Danielle L. Jensen

2. Hidden Huntress (The Malediction Trilogy, #2) by Danielle L. Jensen

3. Warrior Witch (The Malediction Trilogy, #3) by Danielle L. Jensen

4. When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

5. Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson

6. Percy Jackson box set by Rick Riordan

I got this box and the following books from a book fair which sells their books really cheap. So, all of these were a bargain I couldn't resist!

7. Shopaholic to the Stars (Shopaholic #7) by Sophie Kinsella

8. The Circle (Engelsfors #1) by Sara Bergmark Elfgren, Mats Strandberg

9. Faking It (Losing It #2) by Cora Carmack

10. The Lady of the Rivers (The Cousins' War #1) by Philippa Gregory

11. Edge of Eternity (The Century Trilogy #3) by Ken Follett

This is the third book in a trilogy and I got the second one on the same fair a couple of years ago. Now I only need to get the first book.

These are the books I got in July:

6. Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed

I really enjoyed this book! Would also highly recommend the movie!

7. Spanish version of Ender's Game (The Ender Quintet #1) by Orson Scott Card

I got this one for free during my holiday in Spain.

I did reasonably well these last two months, but don't worry, I went overboard buying books in August, I will need at least two book haul posts to tell you about them all. I went a little insane. In addition, August is also my birthday month, so do I really need to say more?

A Very Late June Wrap Up

I'm incredibly late by posted my June wrap at the end of July, but here it is anyway. If you want to know why I haven't posted much this month, check out my previous post Life and Blog Update. I'm going to keep this short, so here are the books I read in June! Finally!

1. Romancing the Duke (Castles Ever After, #1) by Tessa Dare

For some reason, I was incredibly into historical romance novels in the begining of the month. Really enjoyed Tessa Dare's books. I gave this one 3 stars.

2. If I Only Had a Duke (The Disgraceful Dukes, #2) by Lenora Bell

I wasn't as impressed with this one. I gave it 2 stars and decided to stick to Tessa Dare's novels.

3. Giant Days, Vol. 2 (Giant Days, #2) by John Allison

I really enjoy this comic series! I'm sad they changed the art style though. 4 stars! Really recommend it!

4. Nasty Women by 404 Ink

My first non-fiction book and Netgalley arc! I'm so proud of myself! :)
Really enjoyed this one and I would highly recommend this collection of feminist essays! You can find my review here.

5. Say Yes to the Marquess (Castles Ever After, #2) by Tessa Dare

This was my least favourite Tessa Dare novel so far. Sadly, I was quite bored by it at times. My Goodreads rating is 3 stars but it's more a 2,5 stars for me.

6. When a Scot Ties the Knot (Castles Ever After, #3) by Tessa Dare

This book was hilarious! 4 stars! Recommend it!
You can read all these Tessa Dare books separately, you do not need to read them in order.

7. And I Darken (The Conqueror's Saga, #1) by Kiersten White

3 stars. You can find my review here.

8. Now I Rise (The Conqueror's Saga, #2) by Kiersten White

I'm so grateful I got approved to read this arc through Netgalley! 4 stars! You can find my review here.

9. Red Rising (Red Rising, #1) by Pierce Brown

Last but not least, I finally finished Red Rising! I started it in May, but for some reason didn't get past page 40. I borrowed this book from a friend of mine who loved it, so I had to give it another chance. And I did end up enjoying the second half of the book so much more!

June TBR

These are the books I'm planning to read in June.

1. And I Darken (The Conqueror's Saga #1) by Kiersten White

I recently joined Netgalley and I actually got approved to read the sequel, so now I need to read the first book, no more excuses! Really excited, though!

2. Now I Rise (The Conqueror's Saga #2) by Kiersten White

3. How to Find Love in a Bookshop by Veronica Henry

I also got this from Netgalley, I actually haven't been able to finish a book I got approved on Netgalley. I started one I really don't like but I'm not sure how to review it, should I DNF it?

4. Flame in the Mist (Flame in the Mist #1) by Renee Ahdieh

This book was in my Fairyloot box and I'm really excited to finally read it! The cover is stunning and a Mulan retelling? I never stood a chance :p

5. The Circle by Dave Eggers

I requested this book in my local library and it actually got approved!

6. The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead

Same case here, I need to read both of them so I can return them to library.

Which books are you planning to read this month? Have you read any of the books mentioned above? Which ones should I read first? Leave your thoughts down below!
